Research Professor, Harris School of Public Policy
Kim Wolske is a research professor in the Harris School of Public Policy. Her research examines the psychological dimensions of energy and climate challenges, with the aim of improving the design and implementation of public-facing policies and programs. Her work spans topics ranging from consumer decision-making around energy efficiency and renewable technologies to public perceptions of climate solutions such as carbon dioxide removal and geoengineering. She is an elected fellow of the American Psychological Association and a past president of APA Division 34, the Society for Environmental, Population, and Conservation Psychology.
Kim previously worked at the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise and as an independent consultant to Opower. She received a BA in environmental studies from Connecticut College, an MS in natural resource policy and behavior from the School of Natural Resources & Environment at the University of Michigan, and a PhD in environmental psychology, also from the University of Michigan.
